December 14 vigil commemorates Sandy Hook and Pulse Nightclub victims

All are welcome to a vigil on December 14, at 7:30 p.m. at Central Unitarian Church in Paramus as the Bergen County community gathers to remember and commemorate the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings four years ago, the Pulse Nightclub massacre this year, and the death of more than 300,000 Americans lost to gun violence in the past year. The program features the Central Unitarian Church Choir with readings, words of hope, and encouragement for change from members of the interfaith and progressive communities.

Speakers include Josh Gottheimer, Congressman-Elect, 5th district; Loretta Weinberg, State Senator, 37th District; Rabbi Jacob Lieberman, Reconstructionist Congregation Beth Israel; Feyza Teke, Peace Islands Institute; Anthony Cureton, Bergen County Chapter, NAACP; Ed Gross and Dwight Panozzo, Bergen County Brady Chapter; and Rev. David M. Horst, Central Unitarian Church.

The vigil is sponsored by the Bergen County Brady Chapter, the National Council of Jewish Women, and Central Unitarian Church. Go to @BergenBrady on Facebook or Messenger for more information
