Modeled after old-fashioned church circle suppers, our Circle Suppers are small, purely social, potluck dinner parties. Groups of six to 12 adults gather on a Saturday evening five times a year at
member host homes or church. Circle Suppers, organized by the Membership Committee, are one of Central Unitarian’s best-loved traditions and a good way to get to know other church members in an informal, friendly setting.

Circle Suppers are scheduled on the first Saturday of October, December, February, April, and June. Even regular supper-goers must sign up for each Circle Supper date so we know if you’re coming or not!

The Circle Supper Coordinators intentionally mix long-time and newer members and friends to create congenial but varied groups. Supper Hosts contact their guests in advance to tell them where they will be dining and what they should bring.

Suppers Hosts are responsible for hosting a dinner at their home, determining the gathering time, providing beverages for the dinner, coordinating the menu with guests, giving directions to their homes, and confirming plans with the Circle Supper Coordinators.

Guests are asked to bring one potluck dish to the supper (appetizer, salad, entrée, side dish, or dessert), accommodate special dietary needs, and inform the host if your plans change and you’re unable to attend. Please offer to bring an entrée, if possible. If you’re not a cook, no worries—you can also bring a dish from your favorite local restaurant or food store!
