We welcome our new Director of Religious Education

We welcome Dylan Debelis as our new, full-time Director of Religious Education beginning on August 22. Dylan is a born and raised Unitarian Universalist who grew up in the youth programs of First Parish Unitarian Church in Concord, Massachusetts, and First Unitarian Church in Portland, Oregon.

Dylan has served as an Our Whole Lives teacher, Youth Advisor, Religious Education teacher, and member of the Youth Executive Planning committee at All Souls in New York City. Dylan has also served as a contract preacher throughout the country, a social justice organizer through the American Friends Service Committee, a Ministerial Outreach Coordinator at the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office, and a Hospital Chaplain at acute care facilities throughout the New York metro area. He is bilingual in Spanish and English.

He is a candidate for Unitarian Universalist Ministry who holds a Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York. Dylan’s first full-length book of poetry will be published later this year.

Dylan and his fiancée, Lia, live in New York City where they write poetry, run half-marathons, and cook.
