What is Spring Fling? Spring Fling is a festive evening with music, a buffet dinner, socializing with old and new friends, and, of course, live, sign-up, and silent auction items and raffle prizes. Proceeds support Central Unitarian Church programs and ministries.
Check out this special raffle! How would you like to win a week in Maui or Costa Rica or just relaxing on the Jersey shore? The Lesser family has donated a one-week time share for this Spring Fling special raffle. Only 50 tickets will be sold at $20 each. If you win, you chose the location of your own amazing vacation.
Smooth your ride to church! Tired of swerving to avoid potholes when you enter the church parking lot? Now is your opportunity to help fill them! Spring Fling hopes to raise at least $5,000 toward the repair and maintenance of our parking lot. Together we can make a huge difference and support a smooth ride into church on Sunday mornings. Bidding will be reversed and proceed in decreasing increments so that everyone can have the opportunity to participate. Bidding will open at $1,000 and finish at $10. All money will be earmarked for parking lot maintenance and pothole repairs. The pothole campaign is sponsored by the Spring Fling Committee and Board of Trustees. Please support this effort!
Children are welcome! The Children and Youth Faith Development Committee is organizing a Pinewood Derby car-making and racing event for children. E-mail Mark Devlin to sign up your child in advance.
Newcomers are especially welcome. You may sit at a newcomer’s table or wherever you wish. Join us for this special evening that brings the entire Central Unitarian community together in the Sanctuary.
What is Spring Fling? Spring Fling is a festive evening with music, a buffet dinner, socializing with old and new friends, and, of course, live, sign-up, and silent auction items and raffle prizes. Proceeds support Central Unitarian Church programs and ministries.
When you arrive, you will be given a numbered plate for tracking any purchases you decide to make. Church auctioneers will offer items for bid, and you raise your plate to place a bid. Sign-up auctions have a fixed price, and a limited number of winners. Write your name and plate number on the sign-up sheet. Silent auction items are often more expensive, one of a kind items. To bid, add your name and plate number to the sheet next to the item, entering a higher bid than the previous one. Check the status of your bid throughout the evening. At the end of the evening, purchases are tallied, and paid for by cash, check or MasterCard, Visa, or Discover card. Absentee bids may be submitted.
