Sunday, April 23, 10:30 a.m., Sanctuary
On the eve of this Easter and Passover season, the President of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), Peter Morales, resigned amid controversy. The controversy stemmed from the apparent preferential hiring of white people in positions of leadership in the UUA. As we wrestle with the fallout, both as a denomination and as a congregation dedicated to racial justice, we reflect on how to respond. In this crucial moment in our history, what does it look like for us to re-commit ourselves to follow the call of justice and love? Dylan Debelis, Director of Religious Education, leads the service and preaches. Abby Kessler, Worship Associate, and Matt Anderson, Director of Music, join Dylan in leading the service. Children and teachers come to the beginning of the service and then depart for Sunday School. Childcare for infants and toddlers provided from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Coffee and conversation follow the service.
