December 20: Winter Solstice Celebration

We offer a variety of Christmas week services beginning on Sunday morning, December 20, with an all-ages Winter Solstice Celebration at 10:30 featuring stories, songs, and ritual. David Horst, Minister; Robin Slaw, Director of Lifespan Faith Development; Matt Anderson, Director of Music; and Jill Wecht, Worship Associate, lead the service.

On Thursday evening, December 24, we invite you, your family, and friends to join us for a traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service beginning at 7 o’clock featuring lessons and carols and music by the church choir, musicians, guest artists and soloists Susan Gempler and David Cryer. David, Robin, Matt, Robert René Galván, Choir Conductor; and Rab Bell, Worship Associate, lead the service. All proceeds from Christmas Eve offering will be contributed to the Central Unitarian Church Members’ Fund, which supports needy individuals and families in our congregation.

The Christmas week services conclude in a prayerful spirit with a Service of Forgiveness and Healing led by the Rev. Horst and Abby Kessler, Worship Associate, on Sunday morning, December 27, at 10:30.
