June 11: ‘Messengers of Love’

‘Messengers of Love’
Sunday, June 11, 10:30 a.m., Sanctuary
Bring a flower to share to our annual all-ages Flower Communion service as we create a beautiful bouquet in the tradition created by Norbert Čapek, founder of the modern Unitarian Church in the Czech Republic and our partner church in Prague. Children and families are welcome to the entire service. Childcare for infants and toddlers is provided beginning at 10:30.

During the “Passages” segment of the service, we remember Church Members who died this past year; recognize this year’s Welcome Hosts; thank Committee Chairs and Trustees who have completed their terms; say goodbye to our Director of Religious Education, Dylan Debelis; and dedicate the new Board of Trustees into service for the coming year.

David Horst, Minister; Dylan Debelis, Director of Religious Education; and Susan Usatine and Jill Wecht, Worship Associates, lead the service. Music provided by the House Band and Choir. David’s sermon title, “Messengers of Love,” is quoted from Norbert Čapek’s prayer, the Consecration of the Flowers.

The service concludes with everyone coming forward to select a flower from the communal bouquet.

Everyone is invited to the Church Picnic held in the Courtyard (weather permitting) immediately following the Flower Communion service.
