November 29: Jesus Reborn

On this First Sunday of Advent, November 29, at 10:30 a.m., we take a fresh look at the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth from a Unitarian Universalist perspective. Each year Jesus is symbolically reborn, and in the passage of time our understanding of him evolves and deepens. Robin Slaw, Director of Lifespan Faith Development; Matt Anderson, Director of Music; Peter Horton, Worship Associate; and David Horst, Minister, lead the service. Bill Howe is the Welcome Host Captain. Music provided by our Jazz Combo featuring Tom Duncan on clarinet. David’s sermon topic is “Jesus Reborn.” Robin’s story is “The Mitten Tree.” After Robin’s story, pre-K to grade 5 children and parents depart the first Family Worship of the year in the Assembly Room.
