Be a part of ‘A Covenant of Connection and a Curation of Creation’ service on July 24!

Share your songs, poems, and stories at the Summer Service on Sunday morning, July 24, at 10:30 with John Freund and Abby Kessler, Worship Associates.

Here’s what John and Abby say: “It’s a little surprising that Unitarian Universalists don’t explicitly mention the arts as one of our sources of inspiration from which we draw. Maybe the arts would come under the second source, ‘Words and deeds of prophetic women and men’? The arts surely have been scripture to many. We each have songs, poems, and stories that spoke to us at some point or continue to speak to us today: Getting us through a dark time. As part of a morning or evening ritual. That song that we’d put on to make cleaning the house a joy. That poem that put us in touch with the pain we couldn’t otherwise face. A story that took us somewhere and brought us home.”

Join John and Abby for a worship service of crowd-sourced inspiration. If you have a song, poem, or story that you think would be appropriate for the service, or if you want to perform or read, please e-mail your suggestion or interest to John at cuc@biggerthanabreadbox.com before July 15.
