Exploring our Denomination
The Unitarian Universalist Association offers regional and national groups and activities that can deepen your engagement with your faith, including:
UU Faith Action New Jersey
UUFANJ envisions a just New Jersey free from systemic injustice and building a more compassionate society by educating ourselves and others on social and legislative issues, mobilizing individuals and congregations to act for justice, and advocating for equitable and sustainable public policy at state and local levels in New Jersey.
Love Resists
Activating people of faith and conscience to resist the harm inflicted by criminalization. Creating safer, more just, welcoming and sustainable communities.
UUs for a Just Economic Community
The UUJEC vision: UUJEC ignites the passion for justice within the heart of every UU by channeling it into strategic actions that make a difference in people’s lives. UUJEC envisions a world that sustains all living beings, where all people share the riches of the planet, where all voices are heard, where the inherent worth and dignity of every person is recognized and affirmed as set forth in our Unitarian Universalist Principles.
We seek a sustainable earth community committed to world peace and justice through equity and compassion in human relations; economic democracy, not rule by the world’s wealthy; and respect for all beings.
Monthly Web seminars are held on the second Thursday of each month (December excepted). Announcements of the upcoming seminar and recordings of previous seminars may be found here: http://uujec.com/webinars
UU Association Governance
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is a voluntary association of autonomous, self-governing local churches and fellowships that have freely chosen to pursue common goals together. Our polity is congregational, and delegates from each congregation make Association decisions in business sessions at the annual General Assembly (GA). Between GAs, we are governed by a Board of Trustees. Board packets are posted to the UUA Web site; there is a link on the board page.
