This Sunday morning we celebrate Día de los Reyes, a significant Latin American holiday celebration. Known formally as the Feast of the Epiphany in the Christian tradition, Día de los Reyes commemorates the visit of the three kings or the Magi to the baby Jesus with their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. David Horst, Minister; Laura Devlin, Worship Associate; and Lynn Sodora, Director of Religious Education, lead the service, portions of which are presented in Spanish. Ms. Sodora’s story is “Kaspar’s Greatest Discovery.’ Rev. Horst’s sermon is entitled “Wisdom of Old.” Children, teens, and teachers join us for the beginning of the service followed by Sunday School classes and Youth Group at 10:45. Coffee and conversation follow the morning programs.
