Join us for three events to remember and honor Martin Luther King Jr.

On January 20 and 21, join us for three events to remember and honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. At our all-ages Sunday morning worship service on  Sunday morning, January 20, at 10:30, Church Member Theodora Lacey tells her story of growing up in Montgomery, Alabama, and her role in the Civil Rights Movement in New Jersey. The Church Choir, conducted by Robert René Galván and accompanied by Matt, performs. David’s sermon title is “Struggle On.”

On Monday afternoon, January 21, at 4 o’clock we partner with the Center for Food Action to assemble Weekend Snack Packs for local children in need and to raise much-needed funds here at Central Unitarian.

At 6:30 on Monday evening we join the Bergen County community at Temple Emeth in Teaneck for the annual remembrance and celebration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., presented by the MLK Birthday Committee of Bergen County. The guest speakers are Gurbir Grewal, Attorney General, State of New Jersey, and Anna Wong, Grassroots Organizer.
