The Ministerial Search Committee believes it is safe to say that this is the moment you have been waiting for…and we have too. For 9 long months we concentrated on one thing – finding a minister who would be the right fit for CUC.

The covenant we created in order to frame our work included two significant promises:

First that we would: REPRESENT THE CONGREGATION AND NOT OURSELVES

And second that: WE WOULD NOT COMPROMISE IN ORDER TO BRING YOU A FINAL CANDIDATE

We believe that we have been faithful to that promise and fortunate as a Search Committee.

We are proud to introduce the Rev. Andrée Mol

Rev. Andrée’s ministry centers around community and spiritual development. They work to nurture community relationships, to widen our circle of belonging, and to bring forth more love and goodness into the world.  As a minister, they use words, music, stories and space to create collaborative, transformational experiences.

Rev. Andrée is a religious naturalist who holds interconnection and wholeness as sacred. They identify as a queer and trans individual, drawing on contemplative practices. They believe that nurturing community includes exploring and honoring both our individual and collective theologies – the sources we share in common and those that are radically different.

Rev. Andrée grew up in California and New Jersey and as a college undergraduate, studied film production, then “accidentally” fell into a 20-year career in Human Resources for a global bank where they focused on leadership and organizational development.

After living and working in New York City, Rev. Andrée moved to Vermont in 2009, and –drawn by a call to Unitarian Universalist ministry – began seminary at Meadville Lombard Theological School.  Rev. Andrée served their Ministerial Internship at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington, Vermont where they currently serve as the Developmental Assistant Minister for Pastoral Care and Membership.

Our candidating week begins on April 28, with Rev. Andrée Mol leading our worship service and runs through May 5, concluding with a second service. There are events and get-togethers planned throughout the week to get to know Rev. Andrée and for them to get to know us. We are looking forward a new beginning and great future together.
